苏州市独墅湖医院叉车出租设备搬运上楼，作为2017年苏州市实事项目之一，苏州市独墅湖医院的建设进展一直备受关注。小鱼今天从院方获悉，医院一期项目土建工程已封顶，预计明年1月一期主体项目外装基本完工。苏州市独墅湖医院由工业园区管委会和苏州大学共同合作创办，为公立非营利性三级综合医院。医院位于园区科教创新区崇文路东段，占地约240亩。一、二期总建筑面积为16万平方米，总投资21亿元人民币。其中一期建设12.8万平方米，设标准床位800张，二期规划床位700张。

苏州市独墅湖医院（苏州大学医学中心）纳入苏州市三级医院区域卫生规划,于2013年经江苏省卫生厅批准设置（苏卫医准字[2013]9号），是苏州市苏南现代化建设示范区“十二五”重点卫生项目。

医院由苏州工业园区管委会和苏州大学共同合作举办，性质为公立非营利性三级综合医院；为苏州工业园区直属事业单位和苏州大学直属附属医院。
医院占地240亩，坐落在人口稠密的苏州市工业园区独墅湖科教创新区内（崇文路9号），地铁2号延伸线直通医院地下连接走廊，紧邻苏州大学医学部、唐仲英医学研究院、中国医学科学院转化医学研究所等单位，园区内有布局合理的各类优质中小学和幼儿园，生活便捷，环境优美。
医院以“一切围绕患者安全、以医疗服务为中心”为办院理念，体现“安全Safety、尊严Dignity、开放Hospitality”的办院宗旨，展示工业园区高效、开放、圆融之精神，传承苏州大学“养天地正气、法古今完人”之校训，汲取苏大百年医学教育之精华，圆融园区现代化建设之经验，建设一所苏南一流、国际化的高水平大学直属附属医院。
医院一、二期总建筑面积为16万平方米，总投资21亿元人民币，其中一期建设12.8万平方米，设标准床位800张，二期规划床位700张。医院已于2016年1月12日正式启动工程建设，计划于2018年6月底完工，2018年下半年模拟运行，取得医疗机构执业许可证，于2019年上半年正式启用。
医院将以“强专科、小综合”为特色，引进先进设备和适宜技术、创新管理理念和服务模式，使患者得到高素质医护团队充满人文关怀的多学科诊疗服务，并享受优质的医疗就诊环境。
医院将打破传统医院科室设置，以“脏器为中心”设置专科布局，如心脏学科、消化学科，弱化内、外科之分。医院强专科发展将主动承载苏州大学医学基础及各附属医院临床优势，广纳海内外人才，科学布局，凸显“333”强专科战略：一、突出三个“强”专科（心血管病科、骨科、神经疾病学科）；二、搭建三个“强”平台（临床放射诊疗平台、临床肿瘤免疫学平台、临床组织工程学平台）；三、打造三个“强”中心（临床多学科微创中心、临床多学科内镜中心、急诊抢救中心）。
医院近期目标为建成运行3～5年后，顺利通过三级甲等综合性医院评审验收；在园区30周年（2024年）之际，成为“苏南一流、国际知名”的高水平医院。


Approved in 2013 by Jiangsu Department of Public Health (Medical Approval No. [2013]9), the construction of Suzhou Dushuhu Public Hospital (Soochow University Multi-Disciplinary Polyclinic) has been included in the Suzhou Regional Health Planning of Tertiary Level Hospitals. The Hospital is among the key health programs of the “Twelfth Five-Year” Plan of the Southern Jiangsu Modernization Demonstration Area.
Suzhou Dushuhu Public Hospital, as a public non-profit tertiary hospital, is jointly run by SIP (Suzhou Industrial Park) Administrative Committee and Soochow University. It is a directly affiliated institution to SIP and to Soochow University.
With an area of 240 mu,Suzhou Dushuhu Public Hospital is located in a densely populated area in Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District of SIP (Address: No.9 Chongwen Road).The Hospital has direct access to the extended Metro Line 2 through its underground corridor and stands close to institutions such as the Medical College of Soochow University, Cyrus Tang Medical Institute and Translation Medicine Institute of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. The District provides a pleasant and facilitated life with a variety of excellent elementary and middle schools as well as kindergartens.
The Hospital’s vision of “Safety, Dignity, Hospitality”is supported by its commitment to provide “patients-oriented medical services”. With SIP’s ideology of “Openness, Efficiency and Harmony” as well as Soochow University’s motto of “Unto A Full Grown Man” in mind, we aim to, drawing on Soochow University’s century-long experience in medical education and the development experience of the SIP, establish the Hospital as a topnotch hospital in Southern Jiangsu as well as a world-class university affiliated hospital.
The first and second phase of construction covers an area of 160000 square meters with a total investment of 2.1 billion RMB. The first phase of construction has a total area of 128000 square meters. There are 800 and 700 standards beds for the first and second phase respectively. The construction was officially launched on January 12th, 2016; scheduled for completion by the end of June in 2018 and simulation run in the second-half of 2018. Its official opening is estimated to be in the first half of 2019 pending the issuance of Practicing License of Medical Institution.
As a general hospital focusing on advanced specialties, the Hospital has introduced advanced equipment and technologies, innovative management methods and service mode, aiming to provide patients with high-quality multidisciplinary diagnostic and treatment services with humanistic care as well as excellent medical treatment environment.
Instead of taking the conventional hospital setting, specialties of the Hospital will be arranged in an “organ-centered” way, such as cardiology and gastroenterology, weakening the boundaries between medical and surgical departments. We will actively carry forward the advantages of Soochow University’s medical research foundation and the clinical advantages of related affiliated hospitals. We also welcome talents from home and abroad to further develop a scientific approach o better illustrate the “333” advanced specialties strategy: Firstly to highlight three “advanced”specialties (Department of Cardiovascular Disease, Department of orthopedics and Department of Neurology); Secondary to build three “advanced” platforms (Clinical Radiobiology Diagnosis and Treatment Platform, Clinical Tumor Immunology Platform and Clinical Tissue Engineering Platform); Thirdly to develop three “advanced” centers (Clinical Multi-disciplinary Minimal Invasive Center, Clinical Multi-disciplinary Endoscopy Center and Emergency Center).
The short-term goal for the Hospital is to successfully pass the assessment of Grade-III Class-A (the highest level in the country) general hospitals within 3-5 years after its official operation and to grow to a topnotch hospital in Southern Jiangsu as well as an internationally renowned hospital by the 30th anniversary of SIP (in 2024).
